Stainless Steel 1.4122 (X39CrMo17-1) bars consist of about 16–18% chromium, 0.8–1.2% molybdenum, and 0.35–0.45% carbon, creating a martensitic stainless steel known for its high hardness and moderate corrosion resistance. These bars can be heat-treated to achieve impressive tensile strength ranging from 750–950 MPa, yield strength of 600 MPa, and hardness levels up to 48 HRC.
