Hastelloy Alloy Flat Bars are high-performance alloys made up mostly of nickel (50–70%), molybdenum (14–22%), and chromium (3–6%), with small amounts of iron, tungsten, and cobalt. The combination of these three components is what gives it such great resistance to high temperatures, corrosion, and mechanical stress. These flat bars show good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking and are very fit for use in aggressive industrial environments. Hastelloy has good weldability, machinability, and thermal stability with which it can retain strength and durability under extreme operating conditions for long periods of time.
